Author Hub provides free author hub pages to published authors. By using this service you agree to the following:
What we provide. A public hub page for each author, with book listings, free chapter distribution, and optional buy links. The service is provided as-is, without guarantees of uptime or availability.
What you're responsible for. Everything you publish on your hub — your bio, your book descriptions, your links, and any content you upload. You represent that you own or have the right to publish all content on your hub, and that your content does not infringe any third party's rights.
What we don't do. We do not process payments. Buy links on book pages point to external services chosen by each author (Amazon, PayPal, Gumroad, or other platforms). Transactions happen entirely between the buyer and the author through those platforms. JohnDelavera.com is not a party to any sale, does not handle funds, and bears no responsibility for fulfillment, refunds, or disputes.
Prohibited use. You may not use your hub for illegal activity, fraud, harassment, hate speech, distribution of malware, or any content that violates applicable law. We reserve the right to suspend or remove any hub that violates these terms, without notice.
Liability. JohnDelavera.com is not responsible for the actions, content, or conduct of any author using this platform. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee any author's identity, claims, or products. Use of this service is at your own risk.
Changes. We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
Privacy Policy
What we collect from visitors. When you request a free chapter, we collect your email address and IP address. This information is stored securely and shared only with the author of the book you requested. We use your email to send a one-time verification link and to deliver the free chapter. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with any third party beyond the book's author.
What we collect from authors. Your name, email address, bio, and book information provided during registration and in your admin panel. This information is displayed publicly on your hub page as you configure it.
Cookies. We use cookies for authentication (admin login sessions) and to remember when you've already downloaded a free chapter. No tracking cookies. No analytics cookies. No advertising cookies.
Data retention. Visitor emails (free chapter leads) are retained until the author exports and deletes them, or until the author's hub is removed. Author data is retained for the lifetime of the hub. See Account Lifecycle in our Terms of Use for deletion timelines.
Your rights. To request deletion of your data, contact us at the address below.
Anti-Spam Policy
We do not send unsolicited email. The only emails sent by this platform are:
Sign-in links requested by the account holder.
Free chapter verification links requested by the visitor.
Author notifications when a visitor downloads their free chapter.
No mailing lists. No newsletters. No promotional emails. Every email sent by this platform is triggered by an explicit action from the recipient.
Authors who receive leads through the free chapter system are independently responsible for their own compliance with anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.) when contacting those leads.
